Amazed is the fifteenth single released by English singer James Harrison, it is also the first and only single not to feature on any of Harrison's albums the song has feature twice on JAT's albums. Harrison wrote the song the night before his wedding to Kimberley Walsh for the wedding on January 4, 2001, he also released the song on that day. On January 7, 2001 the first chart after its released it reached Number One in five countries. Harrison decided to attempt a country song and a love song in which he with this. Harrison recorded a pop song on his album My Dream in 2003 which features vocals from JAT band mate Andrew Collins. The song has been covered 957 times according to JAT Records in November 2012.

Amazed was the best selling song of 2001 in France, the UK and the USA with 7,500,000 sales in France, 11,000,000 sales in the United Kingdom and 17,500,000 sales in the United States. It was the 3rd best selling single in the United Kingdom between 2000 and 2009 behind The Flood by JAT and Sound of the Underground by Girls Aloud. It is the fifth best selling single of all-time behind Hall of Fame, The Flood and Wake Up Call by JAT and Sound of the Underground by Girls Aloud.

Live PerformancesEdit

Harrison's first live performance was at his wedding reception in January 2001, Harrison performed it on The Oprah Winfrey in February as JAT toured North America. Harrison would close every JAT concert during that tour with the song. He would perform it on BBC Breakfast on JAT's return from their tour in late-February. He would go on to perform it on Daybreak on ITV and on Sunrise in New Zealand and Good Morning America in March 2002.

Harrison uploaded the video to YouTube on June 19, 2005 the day it was first launched in the United Kingdom as of November 17, 2012 the video has 987,733,684 views making it Harrison's most viewed solo video it is the fourth most viewed on YouTube behind Hall of Fame, The Flood and Sound of the Underground official videos which have all been viewed over 1,000,000,000 times.


After JAT put the song on one of their albums for a second time, the Guardian said "Despite this being a great song JAT have put it on a second album this is getting boring just write more guys".

Duncan James of Blue covered in 2007 his version flopped reaching a peak of 181st in the German charts he reportedly recorded it without seeking permission from Harrison who wrote the song. But in April 2007 about 14 days after its release Harrison said he had given Duncan permission to record and release the song.
