Fernando José Torres Sanz OC, OS, OA (born 20 March 1984) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays in the Premier League for Chelsea. He spent 6 seasons with spanish side Atlético Madrid where he made 337 appearances netting 330 goals. This earnt him a move to Premier League side Liverpool for an estimated £28.6 Million where he played three and a half seasons until January 2011 he netted 240 times in just 233 games. He moved to Chelsea in January 2011 for a fee around £50 Million where he has played 42 matches netting 40 goals. He has also played four times scoring 7 goals for Spain U15 in 2000. He played for Spain U16 in 2001 managing 7 caps and netting 11 goals. He later played for the Spanish Under-17 side in late 2001 where he earnt 6 caps netting 6 goals. In 2002 he earnt 5 caps for Spain U18 netting 8 goals. He also played for Spain U19 in 2002 netting 9 goals in 7 caps. He played for Spain U21 between 2002 and 2003 earning 14 caps netting 15 goals. Since 2003 he has played for the Spanish Senior team earning 115 caps and netting 84 goals and scoring the winning goal in Euro 2008 and playing a part in Spain's success at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
He is married to singer Louise Harrison and has three children.
