The Pussycat Dolls is an Anglo-American girl group put together in 2003 by JAT lead singer James Harrison. The group currently consists of Lauren Bennett, Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta, Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt and Melody Thornton. Harrison has wrote all of the bands songs with ocassional help from fellow JAT members and Cee Lo Green. Harrison set up an American version of Popstars: The Rivals to find a new girl group for his label. In 2010 Nicole Scherzinger persued a solo career she went onto do this and Harrison replaced her with British singer Lauren Bennett who featured on LMFAO's cover of JAT's Party Rock Anthem. Harrison just wrote the bands songs with senior members of JAT Records doing the rest (no members of JAT). In 2009 Harrison stated he was fed up of Nicole Scherzinger leading the band and the others doing next to no singing and warned the members of JAT Records to sort it out nothing happened and Harrison got rid of those members of the label and he then removed Scherzinger from the band just as she started her solo career. After replacing Scherzinger Harrison said everyone would have a bigger involvment in the band.
